Region 16 Helper Project

The following photos are of costumes chosen to represent each month of the year.  Other outfits and acessories were made and donated to the project, each item and it's donor is listed in Tabitha's Journal.

Auburn Braids: Tabitha, crafted by Diane Gartner, Francine Houle and Patricia Poulin of

Les Amis de Poupees, Montreal, Quebec. 

Auburn braided mohair wig donated by the Foothills Doll Club of Calgary Alberta.

1 January-Ukranian New Year: Tabitha is wearing a traditional Ukrainian costume, sewn by Katherin Shute and Susan Barry.  Table runner, braided bread ans salt made by Eleanor Prokuda.  Doll Club of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

2 February-Quebec Carnival: Tabitha is wearing her version of a Bonne-Homme-Carnaval costume, complete with a traditional Quebec woven sash, carrying her skates.  Costume and skates by Patricia Poulin, Quebec sash donated by Helene Duguay; Cercle d'amateurs de poupees, Quebec City, Quebec.

3 March - Irish Lassie: Tabitha wearing a green and ivory cotton dress and apron.  Sewn by Patricia Poulin, Cercle d-amatuers de poupees, Quebec City, Quebec.

4 April - April Showers: Tabitha wearing a vinyl raincoat, cap and boots. Carrying her Madame Alexander Doll also wearing raingear and a clear vinyl tote bag.  Sewn by Patricia Poulin. Cercle d'amateurs de poupees, Quebec City.

5 May-May Flowers: Tabitha wearing a faux quilt print dress and vest, walking her Westie and carrying his puppy tote.  Sewn by Patricia Poulin, Cercle d'amateurs de poupees.

6 June - A visit to the Stephen Leacock Museum: Tabitha is wearing a lovely print dress and a pinafore, and a straw hat with pink feather.  Sewn by Edythe Diebel of the Vintage Doll Club of Southern Ontario..

7 July-Calgary Stampede: Tabitha is wearing a cowgirl outfit, including hate, shirt with bolo tie, denim skirt with leather belt and cowgirl boots.  Created by Ann Kurtz.  Hobby Horse created by Corrine Bridgett, Foothills Doll Club.

8 August- UFDC Post Covnention R&R: Tabitha is wearing a nighty, housecoat and bunny slippers, all cozy with her bunny quilt sewn by Corinne Bridgett, Foothills Doll Club.

9 September-Back to School: Tabitha is wearing her school uniform made by Francine Chartier, she is carrying her leather school bag donated by Diane Gartner.  Tabitha's blonde mohair wig was made by Sylvie Maillard; Les Amis de Poupees.

10-October-Halloween: Tabitha is wearing her Great-Pumpkin costume, sweater and leggings, and a black wig and mask.  Carrying her Madame Alexander wicked witch of the north.  Created by Patricia Poulin, Cercle d-amateurs de poupees.

11 November-Mennonite Market: Tabitha is wearing a traditional Mennonite costume of cotton dress, apron and bonnet.  Sewn by Judie Arnold; Vintage Doll Club of Southern Ontario.

12 December-Christmas Day: Tabitha is wearing her faux fur coat, bonnet and muff over a taffeta dress (plaid skirt, white top) sewn by Ann Kurtz, Foothills Doll Club.
